The Nebraska State Fire Marshal Monday continues to investigate a Sunday morning house fire near Plattsmouth that took the life of 52-year old Karen Sidener.
The Cass County Sheriff’s office reported their deputies, Plattsmouth Police, Plattsmouth Fire and Rescue, and County Emergency Management personnel responded about 8 a.m. to the home in the Chasemore subdivision.
They say intense heat and smoke kept them from getting inside to the victim, who was eventually found on the main floor. They could not revive her;
