Investigators say cruiser officers were sent to South Saddle Creek Road and Leavenworth Street Thursday evening and found 43-year-old Hector Aponte suffering from apparent cutting injuries.
A rescue squad took him to a hospital where it was determined his injuries were non-life threatening.
Police say Aponte was assaulted by a known suspect, and they arrested 65-year old Roger McKinley without incident.
McKinley was booked into Douglas County Corrections for 2nd Degree Felony Assault and Use of a Weapon to Commit a Felony.
