The temperatures will be in the mid '80's Thursday afternoon in the Omaha-Council Bluffs area, according to WOWT 6 News Chief Meteorologist Rusty Lord.
Later Thursday night, a few showers and storms are possible heading into Friday morning before a big warm up commences.
The return of high heat is a big weather story for Friday with storm development Friday night into early Saturday morning.
