Family of missing Lincoln woman ask the public for help in locating her

(Lincoln, NE) -- The family of a missing 23 year old Lincoln woman are asking the public for any information they may have about her disappearance.

Thursday morning the parents of Carly Schaaf, Shari and Dave Schaaf, addressed the public about their daughter, asking anyone with information to come forward. "We just need your help to find our daughter. If anyone has any information at all, please contact the police department," Shari Schaaf said through tears. Carly has not been heard from since May 17th.

Shari said that it was out of character for her daughter to not keep in contact with her family. "It's not like Carly to leave and not get in touch with us. She is always on her phone or on social media and there has been nothing." Lincoln Police say investigators believe Carly went missing under suspicious circumstances.

Shari also pointed out that Carly left behind her two dogs. "Carly has her two dogs, Zeus and Callie, that are like her children and she would not have left without her dogs. She's also left with no belongings."

Carly is described as being 5’2” tall, 130 pounds, hazel eyes and brown hair that was last dyed black. She also has a nose ring, gauges in her ears, and has tattoos on her wrist, ankle, stomach and forearm. Carly was last seen at her home in the 2500 block of Worthington Ave on May 17th around 9:30 am.

A phone number has been designated to receive information regarding this case. Anyone with information is asked to call 402-441-9903 or 911 in an emergency.
