(Omaha, NE) -- Omaha's Henry Doorly Zoo and Aquarium wants visitors to help them get voted the 'Best Zoo' in America.
The Henry Doorly Zoo is a contender in the USA TODAY 10 Best Readers’ Choice Awards. Omaha’s Zoo is up for 'Best Zoo' and 'Best Zoo Exhibit' in the country for the Asian Highlands exhibit. The Lee G. Simmons Wildlife Safari Park near Ashland, NE is also nominated for “Best Safari Park” in America.
The zoo is asking supporters to cast their votes online to determine the winners. Voting is open until Monday, May 24th. Each person can vote once per day, per device, and per category every day of the contest. The top 10 zoos, zoo exhibits and safari wildlife parks with the most votes will be announced on the 10 Best’s website on Friday, June 4th. The winners will also be announced in USA TODAY newspaper.
