(Douglas County, NE) -- The Douglas County Sheriff's office has identified the driver of a van, who died in a late Saturday afternoon crash with a pickup in the southwest part of Metro Omaha.
Investigators say 58-year old Charles Miller of Yutan was pronounced dead at the scene, 280th and West Center Road. Investigators say a person killed in the pickup has not been indentified;
Witnesses told investigators the driver of the van attempted to pass another vehicle and went into the westbound lanes, hitting the pickup.
Two other people in the pickup were taken to the hospital: 20-year old Samuel Maly and 18-year old Dylan Fittro, both of Weston, Nebraska.
The Sheriff's Office says the crash is still under investigation. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office at (402) 444-6700.
