(Omaha, NE) -- More affordable housing options are coming to North Omaha.
Habitat Omaha will construct 88 single-family homes on the old Wintergreen Apartments property near 51st Street and Sorensen Parkway.
The mayor's office says 51 of the homes are expected to be built this year. The homes will then be sold at appraised value to homeowners who will contract to pay an affordable loan.
The development plan also includes sidewalk and street improvements throughout the neighborhood.
