(Omaha, NE) -- The Douglas County Health Department is making it easier for residents to get access to COVID vaccines.
DCHD says it is making changes at their clinics to offer more opportunities for walk-in patients to be vaccinated. “Advance appointments aren’t filling up as fast as they have been,” Health Director Dr. Adi Pour stated. “With more people eligible for the vaccine, we are looking for this change to make it easier for them to get into a clinic.”
The first clinic to plan for regular walk-in appointments is the clinic at 35th and L at the Stockyards Plaza. Walk-ins will be accepted on Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. and on Thursdays from 12 noon until 6 p.m.
The health department says adjustments for walk-ins may be made at other clinics depending on appointment availability.
