Investigators have made an arrest in connection with an early morning shooting last Friday that also was connected to a traffic crash.
Police say 38-year old Deonta Marion is in custody, accused 1st-degree assault, use of a weapon to commit a felony, possession of weapon by a prohibited person and other charges.
Officers had originally responded to the intersection of 52nd and Sorensen Pkwy for a two car accident.
Police found a passenger in one of the vehicles, 43 year old Derrick Murrell, suffering from apparent gunshot injuries.
Murrell said he was shot at a different location and was being driven to the hospital when the crash occurred.
