The investigation into a fatal fire in Kearney continues this morning.
Investigators say a woman and her two children died in the Thursday afternoon housefire in the 3300 block of Avenue I.
The woman and her children, one male and one female, were taken to CHI Good Samaritan Hospital with life-saving efforts going on, but they died from their injuries.
Firefighters say the house was totally engulfed when they arrived.
The Kearney Volunteer Fire Department, Kearney Police, Buffalo County Attorney and the State Fire Marshal are in a joint investigation, and there will be autopsies.
