Woman accused of grooming two boys into sexual relationship found guilty

(Sarpy County, NE) -- A Sarpy County woman is found guilty on eleven charges, including Sexual Assault of a Child.

On Wednesday, a Sarpy County jury found 38 year old Christina Greer guilty following an eight day jury trial. Greer was convicted of three counts of Sexual Assault of a Child in the First Degree, two counts of Witness Tampering, and six counts of Child Abuse. She was found not guilty of one count of Sexual Assault of a Child and one count of Child Enticement by an Electronic Communication Device.

During her trial, prosecutors said between September 2017 and February 2018, Greer regularly held sleepovers at her home, during which she gave children marijuana edibles and alcohol. Prosecutors said Greer groomed two of the boys into having a sexual relationship with her. Children who were at the sleepover testified that they observed the defendant and one boy kissing.

Prosecutors said when law enforcement became aware of what was going on, Greer told the kids to delete any evidence they had on their phones. They say she also told the kids they shouldn’t tell anybody or she would get in trouble, lose her kids, and go to jail. Law enforcement was able to retrieve sexually explicit photos of the defendant from one victim’s phone.

Greer will be sentenced April 19, 2021 and faces a mandatory minimum sentence of 45 years up to a maximum of life imprisonment between the eleven counts.

“It has been an exhausting and harrowing experience for these victims and their families,” said Deputy County Attorney, Phil Kleine. “It has been a long fight to reach this point.”

“These kids showed a lot of bravery and fortitude by testifying and confronting their abuser,” said Deputy County Attorney, Michael Mills.

“We are pleased with the outcome of the trial and we thank the hard work and dedication of our partners at the Omaha Police Department, Project Harmony, and the Sarpy County Sheriff’s Office,” said Sarpy County Attorney, Lee Polikov.
