(Omaha, NE) -- An Omaha grandmother is arrested for the 2020 death of her grandson.
The Omaha Police Department says on October 7th, 2020, officers were called to the University of Nebraska Medical Center to check the well being of a child. Police say through the course of the investigation, officers learned that the child was in his grandmother's care when he was found unresponsive.
On Friday, March 5th, 47 year old Carmella Star was arrested and charged with Child Abuse by Negligence, Resulting in Death.
No other details about the child's death have been released. The investigation is ongoing.
