(Sarpy County, NE) -- A man is sentenced to life in prison for his part in a 2018 Bellevue murder.
On Tuesday, Sarpy County District Court Judge Stefanie Martinez sentenced Raymond Davis for his role in the murder of 38 year old Brent Quigley. A Sarpy County Jury previously found Davis guilty of First Degree Murder, Conspiracy to Commit Robbery and Use of a Deadly Weapon to Commit a Felony.
The court sentenced Davis to life in prison on the charge of Murder, 18 to 20 years in prison on the Conspiracy charge and 18 to 20 years prison on the Use of a Deadly Weapon charge.
On June 26, 2018, Bellevue Police Officers found Quigley dead at the front door of his home. Investigators say he was stabbed at least 20 times. At trial, Alisia Cooke testified that she planned with Christopher Reagan and Davis to rob Quigley. Cooke testified that she went into Quigley’s home and, while he was distracted, unlocked the door for Reagan and Davis to enter Quigley’s home.
After Reagan and Davis entered the home, Reagan proceeded to repeatedly stab Quigley, causing his death. Reagan, Davis and Cooke then stole property from Quigley's home.
Davis was later arrested in Missouri. Cooke and Reagan previously pleaded guilty for their involvement in the murder.
