Omaha Fire and Police rescue a couple and their dog Thursday night after they went through the ice on the lake behind "Lakeside Hospital," near 173rd and Frances Streets.
6 News reports the dog had broken free and chased after some birds on the lake.
The two people were taken to the hospital with what are considered non-life threatening injuries.
The dog was taken to the Nebraska Humane Society.
