The Omaha "New Year’s Eve Fireworks Spectacular" will again be at the usual family-friendly hour of 7 p.m.
The fireworks will be launched near the "CHI Health Center" near 10th and Cass Streets in the North Downtown area.
With 2020 Covid social distancing in mind, free parking to view the display up-close from vehicles will be available in MECA lots A, B, and C near "CHI Health Center" and "Gallup" lots, 1001 Gallup Drive.
The lots open to the public at 6 p.m.
In addition, all downtown Omaha parking meters will be free after 5 p.m. on December 31st, courtesy of "Park Omaha."
The New Year’s Eve fireworks display is the last signature event of the annual Omaha "Holiday Lights Festival."
