The Snow Arrives With The Heaviest Impact Expected Tuesday Afternoon

With the snow having arrived, a Winter Storm Warning is in effect until 6 a.m. Wednesday for eastern Nebraska into western Iowa.

Forecasters call for heavy mixed precipitation with total snow accumulations of four to six inches and ice accumulations with this Holiday Week system.

The accumulations are expected to be heaviest into the Tuesday afternoon commute.

Lower snow accumulations are expected in southeast and northeast Nebraska, but more of a concern with frozen precipitation in those areas.

The weather service says road conditions will continue to deteriorate, making travel difficult.

If you must travel, keep an extra flashlight, food, and water in your vehicle in case of an emergency.

The latest road conditions for the state you are calling from can be obtained by calling 5 1 1.
