The manager of a South Omaha bar will spend the next decade behind bars on federal drug charges.
On Wednesday, 36 year old Brett Feder was sentenced in federal court for conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine, cocaine, marijuana and THC; money laundering and being a felon in possession of a firearm. Feder was sentenced to 120 months in federal prison. There is no parole in the federal system. After his release from prison, Feder will serve five years on supervised release.
The U.S. Attorney's Office says Feder was busted following a series of controlled buys of cocaine, wiretaps, traffic stops, and premises searches. Prosecutors say Feder, along with others, were involved in the distribution of meth, cocaine, marijuana, and THC cartridges used in vaping devices. Feder managed and operated JD’s Circle In, a south Omaha, which investigators say was a front for illegal drug trafficking and sports betting operations.
Roughly $50,000 in drug money and seven firearms were seized during the investigation.
