A Nebraska prison staffer is behind bars, accused of having unauthorized communication with a prisoner.
On Monday, the Nebraska Department of Correctional Services said that 52 year old Jeffrey Colgrove, a corporal at the Tecumseh State Correctional Institution, was arrested by the Nebraska State Patrol.
NDCS says Colgrove has been employed by them since October 2019 and that TSCI is the only NDCS facility that he has worked at. Prison leaders say Colgrove resigned his position and was booked into the Johnson County jail.
Unauthorized communication with a prisoner is a Class IV felony.
