Three people arrested following stabbing in Florence

Three people are behind bars in connection to a pre-dawn stabbing in Florence.

Omaha Police say just after 3:00 Thursday morning, officers were called to a home near 36th Ave and Ernst for a reported stabbing. Once on the scene, officers made contact with 18 year old Kylee Ruffcorn, who told the officers she had been stabbed by two women. Ruffcorn told police the suspects had arrived to the home in a green Kia.

OPD says officers were able to locate the suspect vehicle at the Creighton University Medical Center-University Campus. Police say officers transported four people that were in the vehicle to Central Headquarters for questioning.

Investigators say three people were charged in connection to the stabbing:

  • 20 year old Rosalinda Rangel- 2nd-degree assault, use of a weapon to commit a felony and criminal mischief.
  • 18 year old Kalynn Butler- 2nd-degree assault and use of a weapon to commit a felony.
  • 21 year old Anton Linear- accessory to a felony.

Ruffcorn was taken by a family member to Nebraska Medicine for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.
