Lincoln Police continue to investigate a small fire last week outside the State Capitol Building.
Investigators say on September 30th, just before 6 p.m., the fire department and police were called to a fire on the sidewalk on the south side of the Capitol Building.
Police say the passerby who called 911 told officers two people were lighting a red hat on fire.
The fire quickly burned out, but there were burn marks left on the sidewalk.
