Around 4 a.m. Thursday, officers were dispatched to the "Quick Trip" at 72nd and Hickory Streets on a robbery call.
The clerk told them two black males, one wearing a white shirt over a black hooded sweatshirt, the other red pants and a tan hooded sweatshirt, walked into the store, displayed a rifle and demanded money.
After receiving an undetermined amount of cash and some property, they fled the area on foot.
About that time, there was also a report of a carjacking in a store parking lot just north of the robbery scene.
