The Special Prosecutor who led the Douglas County Jake Gardner Grand Jury investigation is scheduled to speak to the public today.
Frederick Franklin will deliver his remarks at noon in the Legislative Chambers of the Omaha/Douglas Civic Center downtown.
Franklin's statement comes after Omaha bar owner Jake Gardner was found dead by suicide in Oregon on Sunday.
Last week, the Grand Jury handed up charges of Manslaughter, Terroristic Threats, Attempted First-Degree Assault and Felony Use of a Weapon in the shooting death of 22-year old James Scurlock during protests and vandalism this past May outside Gardner's bar in the Old Market.
