Omaha Mayor Jean Stothert will begin a series of town hall meetings next month. The five meetings will be held in community center gymnasiums and allow for social distancing.
Citizens will be required to wear masks as long as the city mask ordinance is in effect. It's currently scheduled to expire October 20.
"We will take all necessary precautions to provide a safe environment for our citizens," Stothert says. "We will also stream each Town Hall on Facebook Live for those who are more comfortable watching from home."
All meetings will run from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m.

October 7-Florence Community Center, 2920 Bondesson Street
October 15-Mockingbird Hills Community Center, 10242 Mockingbird Drive
October 21-Subby Anzaldo Columbus Park Community Center, 1515 S. 24th Street
October 26-A.V. Sorensen Community Center, 4808 Cass Street.
