The two were rescued along the Platte River Tuesday night.
They had been reported missing near Two Rivers State Recreation Area.
The Waterloo Fire Chief says a person who was camping held a man out of the water, saving him from drowning, and a woman was found downriver.
First responders from different jurisdictions including the Omaha Police helicopter took part in the search and rescue.
