A man wanted for a double murder in Omaha was taken into custody in Texas on Wednesday.
The Omaha Police Department says John Parks Sr. was arrested in Dallas, Texas on two counts of first degree murder and gun possession by a prohibited person.
Police say Parks was wanted in connection to the murders of 35 year old Michael Harbour and 36 year old Nicole Hatten. Investigators say Harbour and Hatten were found dead outside of the Best Western Hotel on 108th and L on July 30th. The pair were pronounced dead at the scene.
OPD says the Omaha Metro Area Fugitive Task Force coordinated with the Dallas Area Task Force and U.S. Marshals to locate Parks and arrest him.
