Metro sports bars and restaurant operators say they are assessing another Covid-19 financial hit: The Big Ten Conference shutting down the Fall sports season including football.
Like everyone else, sports bar managers have been wondering how long the pandemic will last.
It's been five months, and they say football is their big money maker.
It’s another blow to bars and eateries across an Omaha/Council Bluffs Metro that has already lost a NCAA hoops regional, the College World Series and U.S. Olympic Swim Trials, not to mention concerts and shows.
"DJ’s Dugout" has seven locations.
They have already had to comply with health measures limiting crowd capacity and spaced seating.
"D.J.'s," the "Session Room," and "The Good Life" tell 6 News their biggest hope is for the National Football League to successfully play it's schedule amid coronavirus.
Owners say all they can do is continue to offer a clean and friendly place for fans and regulars.
