Starting on Friday, Nebraska will be added to a list of states on a Chicago Department of Public Health Emergency Travel Order that calls for a quarantine.
The order directs travelers entering or returning to Chicago from states on the list experiencing a rise in new COVID-19 cases to quarantine for a 14-day period from the time of last contact within the borders of the identified state.
This includes both Chicago residents returning from travel to a designated state, and travelers arriving in the Windy City from a state on the list.
Iowa is already on the list.
