A 22 year old man was killed following an early morning crash on Thursday.
Omaha Police say officers were called to the area of 156th and Center for a single vehicle crash around 7:45 Thursday morning. Investigators determined that a 2004 Infiniti G35 sedan, driven by Cody Bates of Gretna, was northbound on 156th St. from Elm St.
They say the Infiniti left the roadway as 156th St. curves west, just prior to the bridge over Papillion Creek. The Infiniti vaulted off a retaining wall and hit the embankment on the north side of the creek.
Bates was pronounced dead at the scene.
