Two women escaped injury Friday afternoon after police say they accidentally drove their car into Carter Lake during a driving lesson.
Officers from the Omaha Police Department responded to a parking lot near the lake at around 2:50 Friday afternoon for a report of a car in the lake.
Two women, aged 31 and 32, were in the vehicle. Police on scene tell 6 News that one of the women was learning how to drive when she mistakenly pressed the gas pedal and drove into the lake.
Both women were medically cleared at the scene.
