Omaha Police say they have seen a slight increase in drug overdoses during the coronavirus pandemic and some have resulted in death.
On Tuesday narcotics detectives arrested Delmus Wilkerson as part of an ongoing investigation. Police say he is connected to two drug overdose investigations.
As a result of this arrest detectives were able to seize:
Concrete Heroin 54.7 grams
Meth 8.3 grams packaged for sale
Powder cocaine 2.9 grams (packaged for sale)
Crack cocaine 5.1 grams
4.2 grams of suspected fentanyl packaged for sale. There was no field test done so investigators are waiting on lab results before charging Wilkerson.
Detectives also found 3,670 in cash, a scale, drug records and distribution kits.
