The Douglas County Health Department says seven new cases of COVID-19 were confirmed Sunday afternoon.
There are 148 cases of COVID-19 coronavirus in the county. According to the health department, three of the cases are community spread cases and three of them are linked to a known contact. The other case is still under investigation.
Three of these new cases had contact to a known case and three are community spread. The other case remains under investigation. None of the new cases required hospitalization.
As of Sunday night there were 367 confirmed COVID-19 cases and eight deaths statewide. The Iowa Department of Public Health reported 83 new COVID-19 cases as of Sunday and eight new deaths. There are now 868 cases in Iowa.
