Initiative Provides A Clearinghouse Of Non-Profits' Needs During Pandemic

Omaha/Council Bluffs residents, who want to financially help local non-profit organizations during these unprecedented times, can find a list of groups and their needs thru a community initiative.

"SHARE Omaha" has asked its over 400 member nonprofits what their needs are during this time, and have publicized that list on their website SHAREomaha.org

Participating organizations have completed a form to detail their deficits, needs and ways to best assist them during the pandemic.

The page is continually updated.

"SHARE Omaha" Executive Director Marjorie Maas says nonprofit organizations will feel the effects of this crisis for themselves and constituents.

“For instance, a canceled benefit gala, production or concert is a canceled night out for the public, but could signal a whole change in budget and cash flow for the hosting organization. Vulnerable clientele of these organizations still need services, and missions must continue serving. Without all our help, many face hard decisions,” said Maas.
