A chemical dependency counselor at the Omaha Correctional Center has been arrested for having unauthorized communication with a prisoner.
58 year old Brenda Alvarado resigned on Tuesday and was taken into custody by the Nebraska State Patrol.
She had worked there for nearly two years. Unauthorized communication with a prisoner is a Class IV felony.
