Arrest Made In Lincoln Home Explosion

LINCOLN, Nebraska - An arrest is made after an explosion on December 17th in Lincoln.

Police were called to a home in the 600 block of West Saunders around 2 p.m. after someone threw and explosive through the window. It went off inside and caused $2,500 in damage to the home. The explosion was so strong it shook nearby businesses.

The victim was able to get out of the house and was not hurt. She told investigators she thought the person responsible was 35 year old April Holmes.

Investigators looked through witness statements, videos and forensic evidence and determined that Holmes was responsible for throwing the M Class explosive into the home.

Homes was arrested on Tuesday, February 25th for use of explosives to kill or injure and use of explosive to damage property. Holmes also had two outstanding warrants.
