OMAHA, Nebraska - A pickup driver that hit a boy near 33rd and Ames Tuesday afternoon will not be cited.
6 News reports one boy was hospitalized and another was taken to be checked out.
Omaha police reviewed video evidence that showed a number of children were crossing the street into traffic near Skinner Magnet Center. The students involved in the accident did not use the overhead crosswalk above the intersection.
That video also shows the driver slowed and swerved to avoid hitting the boys who ran into traffic. One witness said the driver got out of the pickup to help the children.
