Temperatures will actually go up Tuesday evening into early Wednesday pushing 28 degrees by about midnight. Light freezing rain is possible after 10 PM, and snow is then expected to develope.
It's expected to be a slushy snow, with some melting as it falls, and is expected to continue into Wednesday morning, and the morning commute.
Light snow has the potential to continue into the afternoon as well, but accumulation will be slow. 1-3 inches of snow are likely with this round. Isolated amounts up to 4 inches are possible, but melting and compaction may limit the amounts.
