SARPY COUNTY, Nebraska - "One of the most severe, extreme cases of sexual assault that we've seen." That from Sarpy County Prosecutor Ben Perlman regarding Mark Haas, who was sentenced to 40 to 50 years in prison on Wednesday.
Perlman spoke with 6 News and said the assaults involved three underage people over the course of almost ten years.
Haas faced those victims in the courtroom as they spoke to a judge. One stated that they have seen and experienced "true evil".
Haas was sentenced for 1st degree sexual assault, three years for strangulation, three years for terroristic threats and one year for 3rd degree assault.
Prosecutors are satisfied with the outcome.
