I'm a big fan of the old Universal monster movies. The Wolfman, Frankenstein, Dracula, etc.
The Invisible Man is one of those movies. Universal Studios is allegedly trying to remake them all. The idea of a shared universe was dropped after the failed redo of The Mummy starring Tom Cruise. So now these movies will stand alone. Odd that their first attempt would be one of the lesser-known monsters.
The trailer looks OK. Looks like less of a remake, and more of a new story with the same title character. I'm not entirely sold on this, but I want to like it. Blumhouse usually puts out pretty good content, so I'm giving them the benefit of the doubt. For now.
The Invisible Man hits theaters in February of 2020.
