Omaha Police say a gunman targeted three businesses during a two hour crime spree Wednesday night.
It started at 9:45 p.m. when police say a man walked into the Family Dollar near 24th and Leavenworth and demanded money at gunpoint. He grabbed the cash and left. Witnesses says the man was wearing a black coat, gray sweatshirt and tan pants.
At around 10:20 p.m. the Phillips 66 near 59th and Sorenson Parkway was held-up. Witnesses say the man was armed with a handgun when he took money from the business and fled in a dark colored sedan.
The gunman wore a black hooded sweatshirt and black ski mask. A little over an hour after that the Speedee Mart at 132nd and Grover was robbed. Witnesses say a man entered the store and demanded money while displaying a handgun. After getting it he fled on foot.
According to witnesses the man wore a black shirt or coat and black ski mask.
