A 32 year old Omaha man has been arrested after police say he hit and woman on the interstate and kept going. Investigators say just after midnight Sunday a car had overheated and was parked on the shoulder of Interstate 680, just south of the West Center Street exit.
Police say when 26-year-old Shardae Ferguson got out of her car a Dodge Ram hit her and did not stop. Police say the pickup was followed by other citizens to 126th and Pierce Streets where an officer was able to arrest 32 year old David Kenney of Bennington. He was booked for leaving the scene of an injury accident that resulted in serious injury or death.
Ferguson suffered several leg fractures and abdominal injuries which police say are life-threatening. An adult and two juvenile passengers in Ferguson's vehicle were uninjured.
