Omaha Welcomes New Citizens

OMAHA, Nebraska - A group gathered at the Roman L Hruska Federal Courthouse in Omaha today to take their oath of U.S. citizenship.

Thirty-two people from 21 different countries were sworn in as U.S. citizens today.

6 News reports the group took the Oath of Allegiance in front of U.S. Magistrate Judge Susan Bazis. Many of those come from Africa and Latin America. Countries include Afghanistan, Benin, Bhutan, Botswana, Brazil, Burkina Faso, Burma, China, Colombia, Dominican Republic, Ethiopia, Guatemala, Honduras, Iraq, Kenya, Mexico, Somalia, South Sudan, Sudan, Venezuela and Vietnam.
