The Pottawattamie County sheriff says a 22 year old Wisconsin man was killed Monday night near Oakland after a crash involving his car and two semi's.
It happened around 9:30 near Highway 6 and 340th Street. Sheriff Jeff Danker tells NewsRadio 1110 KFAB the preliminary investigation indicates that Zachary Presberg was eastbound on Highway 6 and tried to pass a semi.
While attempting to pass, Danker says Presberg saw a westbound semi cresting a hill and tried to get back into the eastbound lane behind the first semi.
He says Presberg struck the rear corner of the trailer. "Which spun him sideways and he was struck by the westbound semi," Danker says.
Presberg was pronounced dead at the scene. The two semi drivers were not hurt. The investigation into the crash continues.
