Actor Peter Fonda, son of legendary Hollywood icon and Omaha native Henry Fonda, is dead at age 79.
Fonda's family confirmed the brother of actress Jane Fonda died today after suffering respiratory failure due to lung cancer.
Peter Fonda was best known for his roll as Wyatt in the 1969 movie Easy Rider. Other movies he starred in include Ulee's Gold, The Hired Hand and The Trip.
