An Omaha man was killed in a one vehicle crash just before 1:00 Wednesday morning near 28th and Shirley.
Investigators say a 1997 Toyota Avalon was northbound on 28th Street from Martha Street when it left the roadway and struck a stop sign, a fence and then a tree. The driver was the only one in the vehicle and had to be cut from the wreckage.
22 year old Austin Johnson was transported to Nebraska Medicine where he was pronounced dead. Police believe speed and alcohol were factors in the crash.
The investigation is continuing.
