One of the best parts of Avengers: Endgame in my opinion was the addition of "Dad Bod Thor" or "Fat Thor". It was an unexpected arc to a character that proved to have real comedic abilities in Thor: Ragnarok. Without spoiling much more from Endgame (Are we still trying to do that?) the movie left us wondering if we'd see more from Thor anytime soon.
We got our answer today, Marvel announced that Thor will return for a fourth movie, and director Taika Waititi will also return! Great news since Waititi revived the character by switching genres for the third Thor film. This announcement is doubly big seeing as how we know very little of Marvel's Post-Avengers Phase 4 schedule. We know there will be a Black Widow stand alone movie (but don't have a release date), we knew Guardians of the Galaxy were coming back for a third chapter (but the firing and re-hiring of director James Gunn delayed the film), we know Black Panther and Captain Marvel have second movies coming, but we know NO release dates for anything coming. Just an untitled Marvel movie will come out on May 1, 2020 is next.
