You know when you go to the movies and see you a preview before the movie and there's quotes from people to hype up the movie? I'm officially one of those people!
In March during the Omaha Film Festival, I got to see "In This Gray Place" and interview its producer Radhika Womack. I really enjoyed the film and it's still one of my favorite movies from this year. (Full review can be read if you CLICK HERE)
The movie didn't have a distribution deal when it came to Omaha. Sometimes these movies have big deals, sometimes a smaller, sometimes they don't get a deal at all and never see the light of day. But 'In This Gray Place' reached a distribution deal and is coming out later this year. To promote the film, a new trailer was released and my name and quote shows up at the 0:57 mark. My blurb was the first one used, no big deal, it's not a contest or anything (if it was, I would have won).
It's a really cool and unique thing. I didn't know it was a thing that was possible until they asked me if they could use the quote. Very humbling that someone enjoyed your work so much they're using it to promote this thing that has consumed their life for the past couple years.
