There was a fatal, two vehicle crash around 8:45 Friday night in Saunders County.
Investigators say a pickup truck driven by 71 year old John Berggren of rural Weston, Nebraska was turning off County Road 25, when it was hit broadside by an eastbound semi-tractor trailer.
Lifesaving efforts were attempted, but Berggren was pronounced dead at the scene. The semi driver and a passenger were taken to a hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Investigators say it appears seat belts were not being worn by the person who was killed.
