The newest member of the giraffe herd at the Henry Doorly Zoo is named Zoe.
The zoo held a naming contest online and selected Zoe after a little girl who recently died of cancer and loved giraffes. Zoo staff made the announcement on Facebook today.
Zoe was born on April 16th to Dottie and Jawara. Zoe, her parents and other giraffes are on display daily at the zoo.
