A shooting early Thursday morning forced Omaha police to shut down the Bob Kerrey Pedestrian Bridge.
Douglas County authorities say one person was taken to a Nebraska Medicine in critical condition. Police say shots were fired around 2:00 a.m. when a large crowd gathered near the bridge.
Police did not immediately have any information about a description of the gunman or if any arrests have been made. Investigators have been talking to some of the witnesses.
