One person was killed and another injured in a four vehicle accident on I-680 at 72nd Street around 4:30 this afternoon.The accident involved a school bus but there were no children on board at the time.
Omaha Police Lt. Jennifer Russell tells 6 News two cars collided while heading eastbound on I-680. The vehicles then crossed the median and hit a westbound school bus and another car.
An occupant of one of the cars was critically injured, taken to a hospital and later died.
The driver of the school bus was also taken to a hospital with unknown injuries.
Traffic was shut down in the westbound lanes and there was a delay for those heading eastbound.
The investigation continues.
